“COLLECTIVE EFFORT” Fundraiser is set to help complete the last phases of “COLLECTIVE EFFORT” – a documentary on Jewish, immigrant, and artistic identities, produced and directed by fashion designer, stylist, and fashion photographer Leonid Gurevich as part of COJECO’s Blueprint Fellowship Program.
The documentary, being Gurevich's Community Project, follows the creation of a dress made from fabric hand-painted by Jewish families of all generations, from various social backgrounds, a fabric from which Gurevich and his team made the Dress.
COLLECTIVE EFFORT documentary touches on the topics of Jewish identity and belonging, immigrant identity, the identity of people with creative mindset, and highlights the importance of uniting and working as a team to achieve extraordinary results, while simultaneously giving viewers a rare insight into the mysterious world of fashion design.
The COLLECTIVE EFFORT Documentary is the first of its kind. With its unique interactive platforms, it presented the community several one-of-a-kind experiences:
Aside from the participation in the Fabric Painting event, COLLECTIVE EFFORT offered an opportunity for a LIVE audience to witness the behind-the-scenes process of a LIVE fashion photo-shoot in real time, and a LIVE fashion show during COJECO Philanthropy Gala - all of which will be the impactful scenes of a final Documentary.
Although, so much has already been done (please see the Gallery), this is the moment when COLLECTIVE EFFORT truly becomes COLLECTIVE – we need YOU to help us bring this multifaceted community project to its completion.
